New Farm Park + Powerhouse
FreeJacaranda-lined riverside parkland and a heritage power station turned arts venue
Wander through one of Brisbane's oldest and most beautiful parks, set on a bend of the Brisbane River in New Farm. The park is famous for its rose gardens, massive Moreton Bay figs, and a spectacular avenue of jacarandas that bloom purple in November. At the northern end, the Brisbane Powerhouse is a decommissioned power station converted into a contemporary arts venue hosting comedy, theatre, live music, markets, and cinema. Free entry to the building and its riverside boardwalk. The Riverwalk connects New Farm Park to the CBD via an overwater boardwalk.
